Despite gold pulling back significantly from its early-2026 highs, copper has largely maintained its upward trend and continues to trade near record levels, driven by surging demand from the global AI infrastructure buildout.

One miner whose shares appear to be tracking copper's recent strength has just released encouraging first assay results from its 2026 exploration program, highlighting broad intervals of copper-gold mineralization that could further support the stock's bullish momentum.

This morning, Cascadia Minerals Ltd. (TSX-Venture: CAM) (OTCQB: CAMNF) reported the first assay results from its fully funded 2026 exploration program at the road-accessible Carmacks copper-gold project in central Yukon, with initial drilling returning broad intervals of copper-gold mineralization. At the 2000S Zone, hole CD-26-046 intersected 106.62 metres grading 0.79% copper and 0.28 g/t gold (1.09% copper equivalent), including a higher-grade section of 23.15 metres grading 1.42% copper and 0.51 g/t gold (1.94% copper equivalent). Meanwhile, hole CD-26-041 at the 147 Zone returned 98.16 metres of 0.92% copper and 0.11 g/t gold (1.06% copper equivalent), highlighted by 21.24 metres grading 2.38% copper and 0.30 g/t gold (2.82% copper equivalent).

The latest drilling has successfully extended the 2000S Zone by approximately 60 metres to the north, with mineralization remaining open both along strike and at depth. Follow-up holes have already tested an additional 50 metres of northern extension, bringing the total step-out to roughly 111 metres beyond previous drilling, while deeper extensions at both the 2000S and 147 zones have also been completed and are awaiting assay results. To date, the company has drilled more than 8,000 metres across 16 holes and remains on schedule to complete its planned 15,000-metre exploration program this season.

Shares of CAM are currently up 8.2% at $0.33, while U.S. listed shares (CAMNF) are rallying 7.78% higher at $0.2301 in late-morning trading.
