New Breathalyzer Technology Could Revolutionize Cannabis DUI Detection

The legalization of marijuana and the proposed rules to reclassify cannabis have presented certain issues for companies and law enforcement. This company, already a specialist in drug testing methodologies, just announced promising results from early testing of their marijuana breathalyzer technology.

Together with Omega Laboratories. Omega, a leader in forensic drug testing, Cannabix Technologies Inc. (CSE: BLO) (OTC PINK: BLOZF) announced in a press release today positive results from the company’s marijuana breathalyzer.

This collaboration follows a strategic partnership between the two companies to develop and commercialize the breathalyzer. Omega scientists were able to detect and quantify THC in breath samples at very low levels, indicating potential for accurate drug detection. The test method successfully differentiates between various cannabinoids, including delta-9 THC, delta-8 THC, CBN, and CBD.

Cannabix and Omega are now working together to refine the hardware, develop marketing strategies, and prepare for further validation studies. Both Canadian and U.S. shares of Cannabix were trading higher at noon.
