Saskatchewan Natural Hydrogen Story Surges 10% on High Readings By: Dylan Sikes - AllPennyStocks.com News

Natural hydrogen explorers are judged less on a single discovery well than on whether a step-out can repeat continuous gas readings at depth and into basement fracture systems. When a commercial-validation hole posts stronger detection than the original discovery and keeps going deeper, the market reads scale and continuity risk coming down, even before a full flow test. That mattered Monday as energy names looked for stories that sit outside the usual oil and gold tape.

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX) (OTC: MAXXF) advanced Monday after updating drilling progress at Lawson 2-24, the first well in a multi-well commercial validation program at Canada's first confirmed subsurface natural hydrogen system near Central Butte, Saskatchewan.

Lawson 2 is a 2.4km step-out from discovery well Lawson 15-19 (Lawson 1) and sits on the Genesis Trend. Drilling had reached a measured depth of 2,370m and was pausing briefly ahead of Core #2 after hitting a natural-hydrogen-rich fracture zone in the basement complex that the company says produced the highest hydrogen readings recorded to date at Lawson on rig-mounted instrumentation. Core #1 ended at 2,340m measured depth with 100% recovery (~63m) from the Deadwood Formation into basement that starts near 2,308m.

Importantly, natural hydrogen readings have been more intense than at Lawson 1 and virtually continuous (well above background) and gradually increasing since 1,539m measured depth in the Upper Devonian, an interval the company frames as continuous elevated readings over 831m. Helium spikes are described as more numerous than in Lawson 1, which management links to denser deeper basement fracturing. Chief Geoscientist Steve Halabura said a completions program after casing will target flow, volume, and concentration metrics. Third-party review by GLJ Ltd. is planned for the commercial validation program.

Next catalysts are deeper drilling beyond the 2,370m fracture zone, Core #2 results, casing and completions testing, and further updates as the multi-well program advances across the ~28 sq. km Lawson Complex.

Shares of MAXX:CNX / MAXXF rose 10.0% and 8.5% to C$1.98 and US$1.41, respectively.
