Micro-Cap Defense Company Signs Substantial U.S. Government Contract

Receiving a government contract is something that many companies strive to achieve. Obviously, the competition is tough, but proving yourself as a company that will stand the test of time to be there in the future as well as having a “top-notch” product is a major portion of acceptance by the government as well. Loyalty is pretty strong once a contract can be signed, however, money is not the ultimate deciding factor and one contract can lead to another, so the desire to work with the government at any level is highly desirable.

As if receiving a contract with the government wasn’t difficult enough, working with high-security government agencies is even more difficult. But, once a relationship is established, the rewards can be solid.

Doing business for 35 years, Clifton, New Jersey-based Electronic Control Security, Inc. (OTCBB:EKCS), “ECSI” is a hi-tech security solutions provider manufacturing stand-alone and fully integrated state-of-the-art perimeter intrusion detection systems for all environments, including land, air and water, through a secure communications infrastructure to central or distributed command and control centers and has been working with the U.S. government for several years. While the Company specializes in perimeter security systems, it also has a host of other products including vehicle and personnel entry controls, Fiber Optic Intelligence Detection Systems (FOIDS®), day/night long range cameras, anti-piracy technology, and architectural perimeter products.

The Company announced on Thursday that it has received additional orders, totaling $850,000, from the Department of Defense nuclear power station and the Department of Energy to secure highly strategic sites in North America. Obviously, details of the locations of the orders were not disclosed, but the projects are slated to be delivered by April 2011.

Electronic Control Security will be providing state-of-the-art product lines designed to prevent unauthorized entry or access to the large, classified facilities. As was mentioned earlier in the article, one contract can lead to another when quality and service is provided to government organizations. These recent orders represent the 38th, 39th and 40th government and nuclear power station purchase orders received by Electronic Control Security in recent months that have spanned throughout the continental United States as well as Alaska, Hawaii, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Clearly a solid relationship has been developed between the Department of Defense, Department of Energy and ECSI when it comes to protection of high-threat areas throughout the years.

Technically speaking, EKCS is a relatively quiet stock. With only ten million shares issued and outstanding and less than six million shares in the float, that is to be somewhat expected, but with contract news of this nature and only trading at $0.35 per shares, Electronic Control Security, Inc. just may be hitting the radar of more traders in the near future.
